WOW Week Autumn 2017

For the Autumn term 2017 we focussed on 'Our Multicultural World'.

30th October - 3rd November 2017

The children had a fantastic week, with all learning being based around the theme of ‘Our Multi-Cultural World’.  Children produced some wonderful art work, inspired by the Keniyan artist Gakonga, as well as observing a Jamaican cooking demonstration with ackee and salt fish and learnt how to play African drums.  They also learnt about some historical figures who have made a significant impact of the lives of black people such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.

The children have reflected on the importance of ‘difference’ and diversity and the idea that we are all unique.

There are lots of photos on our gallery page - do have a look.
